OOTD & MOTD | Cozy, Casual, & Put Together

IMG_4623.JPG

I absolutely love the Fall season due to the fact that it’s the perfect time of year to wear earthy-toned colors, scarves, and booties. It’s been sunny, yet a bit chilly here in Southern California — I want to say around 70 degrees at it’s highest during the day and around 50 degrees at it’s lowest during the night time. Here is an outfit of the day with the perfect mixture of casual and dressy — it’s very cozy, but put together at the same time.

Since it was a little chilly with the sun peaking out a bit, I decided to wear a gray, thin long-sleeve turtle neck and paired it with a black fringe scarf to add a little something to the outfit while providing a cozier feel. I, then decided to stick with earthy-toned colors with the olive pants, tan leather purse, and brown buckle booties. I feel as though the wedged booties add a more dressier feel, making the outfit look very put together.

With the scarf, long-sleeve turtle neck, olive toned pants, brown booties, and taupe lips, this is a perfect outfit/look for the Fall.

Outfit details:

  • Fringe Scarf: Forever 21
  • Cotton Turtle Neck: Charlotte Rousse
  • Olive Pants: H&M
  • Brown Buckled Booties: Forever 21
  • Small Tan Purse with three zipper compartments: Forever 21
  • Hoop Earrings: Forever 21

Here is my simple makeup of the day. I didn’t show too much emphasis on my lids; whereas, I wanted the winged liner and taupe colored lips to do most of the talking. To add some definition to the lids, I used a very settle matte, light-medium brown called “Cover” from Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Basics Palette on my crease. I then created a very dramatic wing and followed up with natural looking falsies to give the illusion of fuller lashes, while still maintaining a simple and neutral look. Of course, I couldn’t skip the step of adding bronzer to accentuate my jawline giving the illusion of a slimmer face, as well as an illuminator on my jaw bone to portray healthy and radiant looking skin. Lastly, I decided to apply a taupe, matte lipstick which is such a wonderful lip color for Fall!

Fall Inspired Makeup Look

IMG_3766

Don’t get me wrong, I love spring/summer makeup — the whole natural look with the twist of fun & bright colors; however, fall season is my favorite time of year for makeup — the darker lips, mauve toned blush, exaggerated contouring, and beautiful warm-toned eyeshadow colors! I just love it all!

I feel like this makeup look just screams out “FALL” with the brick-toned eyeshadow color along with the dark lips. I was definitely loving the way my makeup turned out so I was super excited to share it with you all. If you’re interested in knowing what products I used and how I created this look, then keep on reading!

To start off, I primed my lids with Lorac’s Behind The Scenes Eye Primer for better colour payoff and as well as stronger lasting power; that way my makeup stays on all day long.

For the whole eyeshadow look, I used Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Maya Mia Palette.

Review | Kiko Milano Luscious Cream Lipstick & Smart Lip Liner

IMG_3385

Hello everyone! Even though the weather is still pretty warm here in Southern California, I’ve been so ready for the cooler weather to finally come! I have been loving dark lips lately and this lipstick & lip pencil, which I will be reviewing in just a moment, has been my favorite go-to products for dark lips.

My boyfriend and I were walking around a local mall not too long ago and we discovered that a new makeup store has opened up– Kiko Milano. I’ve never heard of this brand before, so I decided to check it out. I walked into the store and instantly… FELL IN LOVE! There was everything cosmetics related you can think of– from skincare, to makeup, to brushes, nail polishes, etc!  The products are pretty affordable too so you definitely can’t go wrong with that! If there are no Kiko Milano stores near you, feel free to check out their products here. I believe it’s free shipping if you spend $35 or more which is a pretty good deal if you ask me!

IMG_3469For lips, I ended up purchasing two items: Smart Lip Pencil in “710 Rouge Noir” ($4.00) and a Luscious Cream Lipstick in “522 Black Cherry” ($9.00). Don’t get me wrong, these two products are beautiful on it’s own, but I love using them together!
